CONCENTRATE OF LIQUORICE ROOT, MARSHMALLOW ROOT AND RICE BRAN EXTRACTS – FRANCE
The compound of extracts of liquorice root, marshmallow root and rice bran, infused into rapeseed oil in a patented method, inhibits the activity of the tyrosinase enzyme, preventing hyperpigmentation. In addition, the compound brightens the skin, evens out skin tone and prevents the darkening of existing spots.
INDIGO LEAF EXTRACT – FRANCE
Indigo leaf extract infused into rapeseed oil using a patented method prevents and reduces skin redness, strengthens the protective barrier, soothes sensitive skin and supports a healthy glow.
SEA BUCKTHORN BERRY CO2 EXTRACT – FINLAND, ORGANIC
Sea buckthorn berry CO2 extract is rich in vitamins, flavonoids and carotenoids as well as omega-3-, -6-, -9- and -7 fatty acids in an ideal ratio for the skin. The extract soothes inflammations and irritations, helps with impurities and balances sebum production. Sea buckthorn extract nourishes all skin types, brightens dull and tired skin, and soothes many skin imbalances. Beta-carotene gives the extract a warm orange hue, which brings a healthy glow to the skin. Rosehip CO2 extract contains an abundance of carotenoids, antioxidants and an ideal ratio of omega-3, -6 and -9 fatty acids. It prevents cell damage and signs of premature ageing caused by excessive UV radiation and free radicals, and renews and repairs the skin. Rosehip extract is an excellent active ingredient for scars, damage caused by excessive UV radiation and fine lines. The beta-carotene contained in the extract gives the skin a vital glow. Carbon-dioxide (CO2) extraction is a gentle extraction method that preserves even the plant’s most delicate compounds. The result is a very high-quality and potent active ingredient.
BORAGE SEED OIL – CHINA, ORGANIC
Borage seed oil is a powerful oil for dry, thin, sensitive and ageing skin. Borage seed oil contains omega-3, -6 and -9 fatty acids, and is particularly rich in gamma-linolenic acid (20%), one of the omega-6 fatty acids, which has soothing and anti-inflammatory effects. In addition, it rejuvenates the skin and strengthens its protective barrier. Borage seed oil also contains plenty of vitamin E. The oil helps the skin to maintain elasticity, firmness and fullness.
EVENING PRIMROSE OIL – CHINA, ORGANIC
Evening primrose oil is particularly effective at treating signs of ageing. The oil is particularly rich in omega-6 fatty acids, of which 10 % is gamma-linolenic acid. TAMANU OIL – VIETNAM, ORGANIC
Tamanu oil is the highest-ranking member of the oils used on skin. This aromatic-smelling, cold-pressed oil has antibacterial, antiseptic, antifungal and antiviral effects. HIBISCUS FLOWER ACIDS – FRANCE
Hibiscus flowers naturally contain a variety of AHA acids (citric, malic and tartaric acids), and hibiscus and pyruvic acids, which belong to the family of alpha-keto acids, i.e. AKA acids. The extract stimulates skin cell regeneration, enhances the exfoliation of dead cells from the skin’s surface, improves the elasticity of the stratum corneum, balances the skin’s sebum secretion, smooths fine lines, improves moisture levels and brightens the skin. LACTIC ACID
Lactic acid is AHA or alpha hydroxy acid. It has a higher molecular weight than glycolic acid and is not absorbed quite as deeply, so it does not cause irritation as easily. Lactic acid moisturises and brightens the skin effectively and is also found naturally in the skin’s Natural Moisturising Factor, which is created by the keratinization process. At concentrations of 5% or more, lactic acid acts as an exfoliating agent. It is especially good for dull, dehydrated, dry skin and mature skin.
