CUCUMBER SEED OIL – POLAND

The high levels of vitamin E in cucumber seed oil prevent the cell damage caused by free radicals. They also prevent the signs of premature ageing on the skin from stress and fatigue and brighten the skin tone. In addition, the phytosterols contained in cucumber seed oil smooth out fine lines and enhance the production of collagen and elastin. Cucumber seed oil contains plenty of linoleic acid, which soothes inflammation, irritation and impurities, and oleic acid, which prevents skin dryness. Cucumber seed oil benefits all skin types and maintains vitality and prevents inflammation. It is also particularly good for the treatment of various skin imbalances, including acne, rosacea, atopy and psoriasis.

TAMANU OIL – VIETNAM, ORGANIC

Tamanu oil is the highest-ranking member of the oils used on skin. This aromatic-smelling, cold-pressed oil has antibacterial, antiseptic, antifungal and antiviral effects. It soothes inflammation, irritation and impurities. Tamanu oil enhances skin regeneration and, because of this, is well-suited to treating scars and skin damage. In addition, it protects the skin from free radicals, thus preventing the premature signs of ageing caused by stress and fatigue. Tamanu oil contains generous quantities of alpha-linolenic acid, linoleic acid and oleic acid, all of which soothe inflammation, strengthen the skin’s protective barrier and prevent skin dryness. HIBISCUS FLOWER ACIDS – FRANCE

Hibiscus flowers naturally contain a variety of AHA acids (citric, malic and tartaric acids), and hibiscus and pyruvic acids, which belong to the family of alpha-keto acids, i.e. AKA acids. The extract stimulates skin cell regeneration, enhances the exfoliation of dead cells from the skin’s surface, improves the elasticity of the stratum corneum, balances the skin’s sebum secretion, smooths fine lines, improves moisture levels and brightens the skin. LACTIC ACID

Lactic acid is AHA or alpha hydroxy acid. It has a higher molecular weight than glycolic acid and is not absorbed quite as deeply, so it does not cause irritation as easily. Lactic acid moisturises and brightens the skin effectively and is also found naturally in the skin’s Natural Moisturising Factor, which is created by the keratinization process. At concentrations of 5% or more, lactic acid acts as an exfoliating agent. It is especially good for dull, dehydrated, dry skin and mature skin.

Orange blossom or neroli hydrosol or water is distilled from orange blossom as a by-product of essential oil production. Orange blossom hydrosol has been used for centuries, dating back to the 1700s when Anne-Marie de la Trémoille, princess of Ursins and neroli, would use orange blossom hydrosol to perfume her clothes, gloves and baths.
