IHME Botanical Wonder Essence provides the perfect combination of gentle exfoliation, deep moisturization and pH balancing. The acid content of the product (6.4%) is moderate yet effective, and is formed from hibiscus flower extract and lactic acid. Hibiscus flower extract acids exfoliate the skin as effectively as AHA acids, but are less irritating. They enhance the regeneration of skin cells, remove dead cells from the surface of the skin, improve the elasticity of the stratum corneum, balance the sebum secretions of the skin, smooth out fine lines, improve moisture content and brighten skin tone. The exfoliating effect is enhanced by lactic acid, an AHA acid, which deepens the stratum corneum of the skin and effectively moisturizes dry, dehydrated and ageing skin.
IHME exfoliates gently and is suitable for normal to thicker skin for daily use periodically. For sensitive and thinner skin, it is effective if used 2–3 times a week. In addition to its exfoliating effect, IHME effectively moisturizes and brightens the skin. It makes the skin clear and smooths fine lines as well as unevenness.
The pH of IHME is 3.6, which supports the exfoliating effect of the product and balances the pH of the skin’s hydrolipid film. The pH of healthy skin is between 3.8-5.8. In most instances of skin imbalance, such as acne, atopic dermatitis and rosacea, the pH of the skin is elevated.
Apply the essence onto clean skin a few times a week. Avoid the skin around the eyes. Finish with Yin Your Skin SILEÄ facial oil. The product is suitable for normal, oily, thick and ageing skin for daily use periodically and for thin or sensitive skin 2-3 times a week as an additional product.

Hibiscus flowers naturally contain a variety of AHA acids (citric, malic and tartaric acids), and hibiscus and pyruvic acids, which belong to the family of alpha-keto acids, i.e. AKA acids. White mulberry root extract is rich in antioxidants and flavonoids, protecting the skin from free radicals, signs of premature ageing and the side effects of excessive UV radiation. In addition, it evens out skin tone and prevents the formation of pigment spots due to the arbutin it contains, which inhibits the activity of the tyrosinase enzyme involved in melanin formation. Lactic acid is AHA or alpha hydroxy acid. It has a higher molecular weight than glycolic acid and is not absorbed quite as deeply, so it does not cause irritation as easily. Lactic acid moisturises and brightens the skin effectively and is also found naturally in the skin’s Natural Moisturising Factor, which is created by the keratinization process. At concentrations of 5% or more, lactic acid acts as an exfoliating agent. It is especially good for dull, dehydrated, dry skin and mature skin.
