WHITE ROSE HYDROSOL – BULGARIA, ORGANIC
White rose hydrosol has a sweeter scent than Damascus rose water. White rose water is cleansing, refreshing, balancing, calming and brightening. The white rose water used in Yin Your Skin products is produced and distilled in Bulgaria, the home of the world's highest-quality rose water.
RHODIOLA ROOT – FINLAND
Rhodiola root, harvested from Finnish Lapland, delivers remarkable adaptogenic potency to the skin. Known as the “ginseng of the Arctic”, it contains over 140 active compounds. High in antioxidants and flavonoids, it is used to prevent the fine lines and wrinkles.
ALFALFA SPROUT EXTRACT – ESTONIA, ORGANIC
Alfalfa has been known as a food plant for over 2000 years. Its name means ‘father of all nutrition’ and it contains a wide range of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and antioxidants. Alfalfa extract prevents inflammation and cell damage caused by free radicals, as well as redness and irritation. It protects the skin from external stressors, such as air pollution, as well as protecting against blue light. Alfalfa supports the vitality of the skin, which makes it an excellent ingredient to prevent typical signs of premature ageing, such as sagging, lines, dullness, pigment changes, dryness and tightness.
PLANKTON EXTRACT – ITALY
Plankton is a drifter: it does not swim, but floats and is carried along by the water. Plant-based plankton strengthens the skin's natural resistance and slows down cell ageing. It curbs inflammation caused by free radicals and thus prevents signs of premature ageing, such as the appearance of fine lines. In addition, plankton extract improves the moisture balance of the skin, preventing evaporation, and supports the repair of minor skin damage.
OAT CERAMIDES – UNITED KINGDOM
The effective compound of fatty substances (ceramides, sterols and phospholipids) extracted from oat kernels repairs, renews and protects the fatty substances of the skin's protective barrier and thus prevents the sagging of the skin and the formation of lines. LACTIC ACID
Lactic acid is AHA or alpha hydroxy acid. It has a higher molecular weight than glycolic acid and is not absorbed quite as deeply, so it does not cause irritation as easily. Lactic acid moisturises and brightens the skin effectively and is also found naturally in the skin’s Natural Moisturising Factor, which is created by the keratinization process. At concentrations of 5% or more, lactic acid acts as an exfoliating agent. It is especially good for dull, dehydrated, dry skin and mature skin.

Peony flower extract is rich in flavonoids and tannins that protect the skin from oxidative stress and prevent inflammation. The extract soothes irritated and reddened skin and evens out skin tone. Peony flower extract in Yin Your Skin products is obtained through zeodoration, a drying technique that consumes less energy than traditional drying methods such as freezer-drying. White mulberry root extract is rich in antioxidants and flavonoids, protecting the skin from free radicals, signs of premature ageing and the side effects of excessive UV radiation. HIBISCUS FLOWER ACIDS – FRANCE
Hibiscus flowers naturally contain a variety of AHA acids (citric, malic and tartaric acids), and hibiscus and pyruvic acids, which belong to the family of alpha-keto acids, i.e. AKA acids. The extract stimulates skin cell regeneration, enhances the exfoliation of dead cells from the skin’s surface, improves the elasticity of the stratum corneum, balances the skin’s sebum secretion, smooths fine lines, improves moisture levels and brightens the skin. TAMANU OIL – VIETNAM, ORGANIC
Tamanu oil is the highest-ranking member of the oils used on skin. This aromatic-smelling, cold-pressed oil has antibacterial, antiseptic, antifungal and antiviral effects. It soothes inflammation, irritation and impurities. Tamanu oil enhances skin regeneration and, because of this, is well-suited to treating scars and skin damage. In addition, it protects the skin from free radicals, thus preventing the premature signs of ageing caused by stress and fatigue. Tamanu oil contains generous quantities of alpha-linolenic acid, linoleic acid and oleic acid, all of which soothe inflammation, strengthen the skin’s protective barrier and prevent skin dryness.

CAMELLIA (GREEN TEA) SEED OIL – CHINA, ORGANIC
Camellia seed oil contains plenty of vitamin E, polyphenols and squalane. It is a great oil for protecting the skin from external stressors, urban pollution and signs of premature ageing. In addition, it smooths fine lines and soothes and regenerates the skin.
EVENING PRIMROSE OIL – CHINA, ORGANIC
Evening primrose oil is particularly effective at treating signs of ageing. The oil is particularly rich in omega-6 fatty acids, of which 10 % is gamma-linolenic acid. Gamma-linoleic acid soothes the skin, strengthens its protective barrier, smooths fine lines and tightens the skin. Evening primrose oil prevents signs of premature ageing, strengthens, soothes and protects the skin.
BORAGE SEED OIL – CHINA, ORGANIC
Borage seed oil is a powerful oil for dry, thin, sensitive and ageing skin. Borage seed oil contains omega-3, -6 and -9 fatty acids, and is particularly rich in gamma-linolenic acid (20%), one of the omega-6 fatty acids, which has soothing and anti-inflammatory effects. The extract soothes inflammations and irritations, helps with impurities and balances sebum production.
